Position Summary

Plug Power Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated student to join our team. The student will be responsible for assisting in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of your academic studies and interests. In this role, you will gain exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment which includes developing a detailed understanding of Plug Power’s products.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the analysis, design, and optimization of test equipment subsystems
  • Update and maintain electrical schematics for test equipment and circuit boards
  • Assist in electrical build, debugging, and commissioning of new test equipment
  • Analyze historical test data to measure test equipment reliability and detect failures
  • Understand engineering concepts and how to appropriately apply them in day-to-day projects
  • Gain a foundational understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in manufacturing and technology.
  • Communication and Collaboration
  • Develop effective communication skills by collaborating with team members and presenting findings to different stakeholders.

Education and Qualification

  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science, Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with electro-mechanical systems, PLCs, sensors and actuators
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of schematics, circuit design, and analysis
  • Ability to perform statistical analysis on data and generate conclusions
  • Must have reliable transportation to the office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess solid hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent follow-through
  • Must be driven and self-motivated

Estimated Base Salary Range:

$21.00 - $25.00
