Position Summary
Plug Power Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated student to join our team. The student will be responsible for assisting in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of your academic studies and interests. In this role, you will gain exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment which includes developing a detailed understanding of Plug Power’s products.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the analysis, design, and optimization of test equipment subsystems
- Update and maintain electrical schematics for test equipment and circuit boards
- Assist in electrical build, debugging, and commissioning of new test equipment
- Analyze historical test data to measure test equipment reliability and detect failures
- Understand engineering concepts and how to appropriately apply them in day-to-day projects
- Gain a foundational understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in manufacturing and technology.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Develop effective communication skills by collaborating with team members and presenting findings to different stakeholders.
Education and Qualification
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science, Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with electro-mechanical systems, PLCs, sensors and actuators
- Understanding of the fundamentals of schematics, circuit design, and analysis
- Ability to perform statistical analysis on data and generate conclusions
- Must have reliable transportation to the office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess solid hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
- Excellent follow-through
- Must be driven and self-motivated
Estimated Base Salary Range:
$21.00 - $25.00
