Job Description: Staff Test Engineer

Location: This position will be based in Juinagar, Navi Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop test rigs for flow, pressure, and temperature measurements, including the selection of instrumentation and DAQ systems.
- Prepare and update P&IDs, Instrumentation Loop Diagrams, and Process Hook-up Diagrams.
- Conduct PSHR reviews and perform safety checks for electrical and mechanical test setups.
- Design and operate flow and pressure control systems for flammable gases.
- Perform functional, performance, and qualification testing of sensors, transducers, valves, weld joints, and mechanical components.
- Plan and execute reliability tests, including life cycle, endurance, thermal cycling, vibration, fatigue, and environmental stress tests.
- Conduct accelerated testing (HALT, HAST, and accelerated life testing) to assess long-term component behavior.
- Perform DFMEA, identify failure modes, conduct root-cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage the setup, operation, calibration, and preventive maintenance of laboratory and test equipment.
- Apply UL, KOSHA, EU, and American standards for safe component selection, testing, and compliance.
- Execute qualification procedures, analyze test data, and prepare concise reports for stakeholders.
- Update component and product specifications and support value engineering initiatives.
- Support vendor qualification activities and identify alternative component suppliers.
- Maintain clear communication across teams and ensure adherence to 5S practices in the laboratory.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics and Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- +6 years of experience working in a laboratory or R&D environment.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles, including fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials engineering.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization with a multicultural team.
