Be a driving force in our transition to a high‑volume, smart, and connected factory. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will support the transformation of our operations from low‑volume, manual assembly to scalable, automated production lines powered by advanced data and digital systems. Working closely with a modernization partner and cross‑functional teams, you will implement next‑generation manufacturing processes—leveraging best‑in‑class technologies such as machine vision, operator guidance systems, and advanced data analytics—to elevate throughput, quality, and cost efficiency. This role will report to Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering and is based in Newark, DE. This is a fully on-site, in office role.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Drive projects that transition manual assembly lines into automated and fully connected systems, ensuring robust process control at every stage.
  • Lead the debugging of the pilot line till it meets the yield, cost and throughput requirements.
  • Prepare documentation, control plans, and validation protocols to support high-volume production rollout of the integrated manufacturing solution.
  • Partner internally with IT, Operations and equipment engineering to ensure seamless integration of hardware, software, and human workflows.
  • Define critical process parameters, implement real-time monitoring/reporting to deliver actionable insights for process optimization and predictive control.
  • Deploy machine vision systems for inspection, connected torque tools for precision fastening, and intelligent operator guidance platforms to enhance consistency and reduce variability.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechatronics, or a related discipline; master’s degree preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in mid to high volume assembly-line manufacturing environments, with a focus on process design and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with machine vision systems for inspection and defect detection, connected torque tools, and sensor-enabled fixtures.
  • Proven track record in managing modernization projects, coordinating vendors, and leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Prior experience applying AI/ML applications for defect detection, anomaly prediction, and throughput optimization.
  • Proven team player with the ability to influence and collaborate across functionally to drive complex factory transformations from concept through sustained execution.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas.

Salary Ranges:

$82,000.00 - $118,000.00
