Job Description: Principal - Information Network Security

Bloom Energy, a solid oxide fuel cell company, is looking for a Principal - Information Network Security - to join its world class team. This individual should be a dynamic professional who is looking for a rewarding future in one of today’s most exciting technologies. As Principal - Information Network Security- you will be responsible for the Information Network Security of Global network and analyzing the logs of all related information security appliance at Bloom Energy. The ideal candidate is a deep security-focused technologist with proven track record of supporting globally distributed large scalable networks, analyzing, designing and implementing security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead security assessments, threat analysis, and vulnerability management activities.
  • Define and implement security architecture and frameworks across systems and platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT, Engineering, and Cloud teams to strengthen overall security posture.
  • Review, validate, and guide remediation of vulnerabilities highlighted by tools such as Tenable, Splunk, or Recorded Future.
  • Drive incident response activities, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
  • Develop automation for security monitoring and compliance checks.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory, corporate, and operational security standards.
  • Document security designs, processes, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Deep expertise in application, infrastructure, and network security.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
  • Hands‑on experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection.
  • Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Ability to investigate complex security issues and drive resolutions.
  • Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Establishes system controls by developing framework for controls and levels of access based on NIST standards; recommending improvements.
  • Ensures authorized access by investigating improper access; revoking access; reporting violations; monitoring information requests by new programming; recommending improvements.
  • Proficient in using SCRUM, JIRA and Confluence tools

Skills and Experience:

  • SCRUM, Jira, Confluence
  • Knowledge of SPLUNK, Cortex XDR, SOAR Automation
  • Hands-on experience AWS Security, Azure and CNAP
  • Knowledge of Proofpoint, Trellix DLP
  • Knowledge of Tenable Nessus, SkyHigh, Zscaler, Palo Alto
  • Reporting & Review Public/Private Key Certificate Infrastructure
  • Windows, Linux, MAC Security
  • Encryption methodologies
  • Experience in Hybrid / cloud architecture and security aspects
    Experience in leading SOX, ISO, NERC audit and compliance requirements
  • Knowledge and experience with Network segmentation and zoning
  • Extensive experience managing firewalls and developing firewall policies
  • 5+ years of experience with Cloud Security technology such as Prisma Cloud
  • 3+ years of experience with Web Application Firewalls and managing alerts
  • 3+ years of experience with DDoS Protection

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Information Science, Computer Science, etc. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 14+ years Information Security experience in a diverse range of technology environment
