Green Hydrogen - Sr. Test Stand Engineer

Green hydrogen plays an essential role towards our net-zero mission.  Hydrogen has widespread industrial and transport applications.  Conventional hydrogen production from fossil fuels is accompanied by the release of large quantities of carbon dioxide. Our innovative technologies take renewable energy and water to produce green hydrogen with zero emission.  We aspire to improve efficiency, reduce the cost, and scale the manufacturing to meet booming green hydrogen market.    

We are therefore seeking talented and highly motivated Test Stand Engineers to join our newly launched H2 Center of Excellence (COE) near Boston, MA.  You will be a champ for test stand design, procurement and electrochemical testing for our innovative water electrolyzer systems.   We will work together to create groundbreaking solutions to transform our technologies for low-cost green H2 production.
 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and building in-house electrolyzer test stands working closely with other scientists and engineers
• Lead the procurement of commercial test stands to ensure their delivery, operations, and functionalities
• Rigorously implement safety measures pertaining to H2 production, storage, and application (e.g., the installation of H2 alarms)
• Support electrolyzer system engineer large module and system design and testing 
• Provide technical guidance to junior test engineers for proper test stand operations, overhauling, data acquisition
• Troubleshoot test stand failure and come up with effective repair strategies
• Interface with electrolyzer developers for electrochemical data analysis and reporting  
• Delegate the corporation to interact with vendors, customers, and other stakeholders 

Qualifications:

• BS or MS in mechanical, chemical or other engineering
• 5+ years experience in fuel cell or electrolysis areas.
• Hands-on experience in test stand design and cell testing
• Proficiency in programming like Labview is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be a fast learner and proactive performer
• Must be an innovator with bottom-up ideas
