We are looking for a Field Service Regional Manager to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Director Field Service and will be remote and based in New Mexico.

This manager will provide oversight and coordination for the company in New Mexico and El Paso, Texas, including planning and implementation of service activities. This manager acts as a bridge to corporate HQ by reporting on reliability and maintenance operations.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manage growing installed fleet and Field Service Technicians both tactically and strategically to ensure the best possible customer service
  • Communicate with direct reports to set employee goals and objectives, develop staff, and provide performance feedback.
  • Hire and train staff as needed.
  • Oversee service requirements, service plans, and commission new installations to extend service coverage
  • Ensure Field Service personnel are trained appropriately for existing and new product systems
  • Provide managerial support to Field Service Technicians, coordinate technical support personnel to aid in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex fuel cell systems
  • Respond to situations where first-line and second-line field service support has failed to isolate or correct problems in malfunctioning equipment or software
  • Report design, reliability and maintenance problems or issues to Product Support, Engineering, and/or Quality
  • Hire, manage, and develop a high performing team
  • Ensure a successful customer experience with timely communications
  • Must be available to work on multiple projects at various, unscheduled and unanticipated sites throughout the Southwest US area.
  • Work with Field Service Operations and Supply Chain organizations to set-up and maintain depot spare parts stocking levels
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with 6+ year’s industry experience
  • 2+ years’ experience as a high functioning supervisor of 5 - 20 employees
  • Advanced understanding of fuel cell operation preferred
  • Strong understanding of requirements of working safely in an industrial setting
  • Advanced proficiency in AC & DC technology
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills; understanding of mechanical systems, piping, plumbing and valve operation
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Demonstrated self-initiative, sound judgment, integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization in a verbal and written manner
  • Highly customer-focused (both externally and internally)
  • Solid decision making, critical thinking, time management, and organization skills
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical generation equipment
  • Solid background in process development and process refinement
  • Ability to create articulate and concise written documentation

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 45-50lbs
  • Ability to work at heights with appropriate PPE
  • Able to each, squat, bend, and twist during the workday
  • Able to use a ladder or stepstool
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions

Salary Ranges:

$95,100.00 - $136,900.00
