Position Summary
Plug Power Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated student to join our team. The student will be responsible for assisting in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of your academic studies and interests. In this role, you will gain exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment which includes developing a detailed understanding of Plug Power’s products.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Software design areas may include but are not limited to: Battery Management Systems (BMS), Electronic Control Units (ECUs), Motor Controllers (MCU’s), DC/DC Converters, and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI).
- Maintain and enhance existing embedded software to improve reliability, performance, and compliance with updated standards. (UL1998, ISO26262, IEC61508, etc.).
- Investigate and resolve software defects, field issues, and customer-reported problems, ensuring timely root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Gain a foundational understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in manufacturing and technology.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Develop effective communication skills by collaborating with team members and presenting findings to different stakeholders.
Education and Qualification
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science, Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related program
- Must have reliable transportation to the office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess solid hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
- Excellent follow-through
- Must be driven and self-motivated
Estimated Base Salary Range:
$21.00 - $25.00
