At Lyten, we believe the most meaningful careers begin with purpose — and with people who want to make a difference. We’re not just developing advanced supermaterials — we’re about to change the world as we know it, reshaping how energy is stored, how products are built, and how progress is made.

We’re entering an exciting growth phase, scaling production across the U.S. and Europe and expanding our team of engineers, scientists, and innovators.

Apply now to join our team and be part of something bigger than yourself — where collaboration, creativity, and purpose come together to build the technologies that will define the next century.

Lyten Poland is currently looking for Senior Equipment Engineer to develop and implement manufacturing equipment and methods for advanced production processes such as adhesive applications, laser welding, tightening systems, test stations, and assembly stations. As Senior Equipment Engineer you’ll work closely with product design and operations teams to ensure that production lines are scalable, flexible, and ready for high-volume manufacturing.

You will also play a key role in launching new production lines — from equipment design and supplier selection to commissioning, ramp-up, and final handover.

What you will do

Production line development & launch

  • Play a key role in production line launch and ramp-up by leading station development and implementation

  • Fine-tune, debug, and optimize equipment and processes during commissioning and ramp-up phases

  • Participate in plant commissioning and production start-up

  • Manage dedicated equipment development projects

Equipment design & engineering

  • Design manufacturing stations, fixtures, tooling, and robot grippers

  • Develop equipment concepts based on product and process requirements

  • Generate equipment and process requirement specifications

  • Identify and evaluate equipment suppliers for specialized manufacturing processes

  • Implement Karakuri systems and lean automation concepts

  • Ensure flexibility, scalability, and standardization of production tooling and equipment

Supplier collaboration & validation

  • Lead design reviews with equipment suppliers

  • Plan and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)

  • Review and approve technical documentation including risk assessments, manuals, spare parts lists, and maintenance plans

  • Assess and report equipment safety and performance at both station and production line levels

Manufacturing engineering collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Design and Operations teams in the production facility

  • Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Automation (DFA) initiatives

  • Participate in product prototyping and manufacturability assessments

  • Provide technical feedback to product design teams

  • Guide design teams in applying poka-yoke principles and selecting optimal manufacturing and testing methods

Process documentation & quality

  • Approve and maintain process documentation including SOPs and work instructions

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing processes

What we’re looking for

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Machine Building, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience designing, installing, or developing equipment for high-volume manufacturing

  • 3+ years of experience in a production environment (automotive, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or similar industries preferred)

  • Experience in the battery industry is an advantage

  • Strong experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, NX, SolidWorks)

  • Experience working with PLM/PDM systems

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S principles

  • Experience with structured problem solving (8D, Ishikawa)

  • Fluent English

What will help you succeed

We value engineers who combine technical expertise with curiosity and ownership.

You’ll do well in this role if you are:

  • highly organized and results-driven

  • comfortable managing multiple technical projects at once

  • proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented

  • able to work under pressure and tight timelines

  • collaborative in multicultural environments

And if you enjoy solving complex engineering challenges with simple, smart solutions — you’ll likely enjoy the work here.

Our manufacturing plant is located in Gdańsk, Stogi.

Base salary starts at 12 000 PLN gross
