ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Power Marketing Intern to join our Chicago team for Summer 2026. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting the commercial management and optimization of ACCIONA’s renewable energy portfolio through market analysis, contract management, and strategic research initiatives.Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Track and maintain contractual obligations across PPAs, hedges, and commercial agreements, including key dates and milestones.
Review RFPs and tender documentation to evaluate participation requirements and market opportunities.
Support SCED and market modeling studies by analyzing assumptions, interpreting results, and preparing presentations and summaries for internal stakeholders.
Assist in developing and enhancing internal dashboards, reporting tools, and analytical models.
Collect, organize, and analyze market, pricing, and regulatory data to support strategic decision-making, opportunity analysis, and origination efforts.
Monitor regulatory and market developments and summarize potential impacts on trading activities, contracts, and portfolio strategy.
Support reporting, documentation, and administrative activities for the Power Marketing team.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills and Competencies
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business, or a related field. (Completion of Junior year preferred)
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 required.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Coursework or experience related to Statistics, Economics, Basic Programming, Energy Markets, or Power/Energy Engineering preferred.
Previous internship or related experience in energy, finance, analytics, or market operations preferred.
Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Base Pay: $20-$30 per hour (based on experience and skillset)
