The Role
T1 Energy is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Lead Material Control Operator to support material flow, inventory accuracy, and production readiness at our Wilmer, TX solar manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing material handling processes, maintaining inventory integrity, and ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and components to support uninterrupted solar module production. The Lead Material Control Operator will serve as a subject matter resource for material control processes and provide guidance to operators within the department.
What You’ll Do
Coordinate daily material movement to support solar module production schedules.
Ensure accurate receipt, storage, issuance, and transfer of raw materials and finished goods.
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and system transactions.
Utilize ERP/warehouse management systems to process material transactions and maintain data integrity.
Monitor material shortages and escalate supply risks to leadership.
Support FIFO practices and proper material traceability in compliance with quality standards.
Train and mentor Material Control Operators on processes, safety, and system usage.
Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure material availability and alignment with production goals.
Maintain compliance with safety standards, including proper material handling and equipment operation.
Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline warehouse and material flow processes.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in material control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing support, preferably in solar, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing.
Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
Strong understanding of inventory control practices, FIFO, and material traceability.
Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
