The Role

T1 Energy is looking to hire a Senior Logistics Manager who is responsible for leading all inbound, outbound, domestic, and international logistics operations supporting a solar manufacturing facility. This role ensures the efficient, cost-effective, and compliant movement of raw materials, components, work-in-process (WIP), and finished solar products while maintaining high service levels and supporting production schedules. The position partners closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Planning, Warehousing, Quality, Finance, and Customer Operations to optimize transportation networks, reduce logistics costs, and improve supply chain performance.

What You’ll Do

Develop and execute logistics strategies that support manufacturing, customer delivery, and business growth.

Manage inbound transportation for raw materials, including glass, aluminum frames, cells, backsheets, junction boxes, packaging, and other manufacturing components.

Oversee outbound distribution of solar modules and related products to customers, distribution centers, EPC contractors, and project sites.

Lead domestic and international transportation operations, including truckload, LTL, rail, ocean, air, and intermodal shipments.

Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.

Negotiate transportation contracts and freight rates while achieving cost reduction targets.

Monitor logistics KPIs including:

· On-time delivery

· Transportation cost per unit

· Freight spend

· Carrier performance

· Inventory transit times

· Damage claims

· Perfect order performance

Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, Incoterms, and trade compliance standards.

Collaborate with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Production Planning, and Procurement to balance inventory and transportation capacity.

Develop contingency plans to minimize supply chain disruptions and transportation delays.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

Support ERP, TMS, and WMS optimization initiatives.

Drive sustainability initiatives by optimizing transportation modes and reducing carbon emissions where practical.

Lead, mentor, and develop logistics, transportation, and warehouse personnel.

Manage logistics budgets, forecasts, and freight accruals.

Who You Are

· Strong knowledge of transportation management, freight optimization, and warehouse operations.

· Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).

· Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

· Knowledge of import/export regulations, customs compliance, and Incoterms.

· Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.

· Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools is preferred.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

  • MBA or Master's degree preferred.

Experience

  • 8–12+ years of progressive logistics or supply chain experience.

  • 5+ years in a leadership role within manufacturing.

  • Experience in solar, renewable energy, semiconductor, electronics, automotive, or high-volume manufacturing preferred.

  • Experience with domestic and international logistics operations.

  • Experience managing transportation providers and 3PLs.
