The Role

T1 Energy is looking to hire a Senior Warehouse Manager who is responsible for leading all warehouse and material handling operations for a solar manufacturing facility, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished solar products. This role oversees warehouse operations supporting high-volume manufacturing while driving inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, cost optimization, and continuous improvement. The Senior Warehouse Manager partners closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, and Finance to ensure uninterrupted production and exceptional customer service.

What You’ll Do

Warehouse Operations

  • Lead all warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, storage, inventory control, material handling, shipping, and distribution.

  • Ensure uninterrupted material flow to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments.

  • Oversee inbound receipt of raw materials, including solar cells, glass, aluminum frames, backsheets, encapsulants, junction boxes, packaging materials, and other manufacturing components.

  • Manage outbound staging and shipment of finished solar modules and related products.

  • Optimize warehouse layout, storage capacity, and material flow to maximize efficiency and safety.

  • Develop standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation.

  • Ensure proper inventory transactions within the ERP system.

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Procurement and Production Planning to prevent shortages or excess inventory.

  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.

  • Manage obsolete, damaged, and slow-moving inventory.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors, leads, and hourly team members.

  • Establish performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

  • Support employee training, cross-training, succession planning, and career development.

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.

  • Ensure safe operation of forklifts, automated material handling equipment, cranes, and warehouse machinery.

  • Maintain compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements.

  • Lead investigations and corrective actions for warehouse incidents and near misses.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve warehouse productivity and reduce waste.

  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, material flow, and inventory accuracy.

  • Utilize warehouse performance data to drive operational improvements.

  • Support automation and digital transformation initiatives, including barcode scanning, RFID, and warehouse management technologies.

Systems & Technology

  • Manage Warehouse Management System (WMS) activities and ensure data integrity.

  • Collaborate with IT and Supply Chain teams on ERP and WMS enhancements.

  • Develop warehouse dashboards and KPIs using reporting and business intelligence tools.

  • Ensure accurate electronic documentation for inventory transactions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, Planning, Quality, and Customer Service to ensure seamless operations.

  • Support new product introductions and manufacturing capacity expansion projects.

  • Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and inventory planning activities.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage warehouse operating budgets.

  • Monitor labor, equipment, storage, and operating expenses.

  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service levels.

  • Support annual budget planning and capital expenditure requests.

Who You Are

· Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and material flow principles.

· Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent).

· Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), barcode scanning, and RF technologies.

· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities.

· Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

· Strong organizational and project management capabilities.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and warehouse reporting tools.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Master's degree (MBA or MS) preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive warehouse, distribution, or materials management experience within a manufacturing environment.

  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing warehouse operations.

  • Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations.

  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.

  • Experience in solar manufacturing, renewable energy, automotive, electronics, semiconductor, or other advanced manufacturing environments preferred.
