We are looking for a hands-on individual to help us develop our core technology by contributing to our Equipment Maintenance Team. In this role, individuals will work directly with our Operations team, to design, troubleshoot, and repair our production equipment. The successful applicant will be comfortable with hands-on work as well as detailed mechanical design.
Develop novel solutions to challenging manufacturing problems
Collaborate with process and controls engineers in the start-up and debugging effort for manufacturing equipment and processes at new production sites
Design, modify, and troubleshoot equipment, lead equipment specification and design reviews
Develop novel solutions to challenging manufacturing problems
Be a champion for safety
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field preferred; equivalent industrial experience considered
3+ years of experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment in a production environment
Experience troubleshooting and programming PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent)
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills including motors, drives, sensors, HMIs, and industrial controls
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical documentation
Experience working cross-functionally with maintenance and operations teams to resolve equipment issues
Knowledge of preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and equipment reliability principles
Strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
This role is based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV—an easy commute from the city of Pittsburgh, PA. This 550,000-square-foot facility is our hub for high-volume battery production and a leader in the new era of American energy manufacturing.
