Responsibilities include:
- Conduct EHS training and awareness programs covering workplace safety, emergency response, PPE usage, hazard communication, and environmental compliance. .
- Ensure employees properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses etc.
- Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to monitor daily operations and reinforce safe work practices.
- Conduct active floor-level safety oversight by proactively identifying, reporting, and correcting workplace hazards, unsafe conditions, and at-risk behaviors to maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide on-the-spot coaching and guidance to employees on safety procedures and hazard awareness
- Prepare detailed EHS reports, inspection findings, incident summaries, and corrective action documentation.
- Support implementation and sustainment of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 requirements through daily activities
- Contribute to compliance audits of site programs and policies and deliver audit outcomes to Sr. EHS Engineer
- Support implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and safe work practices
- Conduct routine EHS inspections, safety observations, and walk-throughs across operational areas.
- Ensure waste is properly stored and assist in waste shipments with the disposal company accurately perform all required waste inspections
- Participate in EHS training sessions, emergency response activities, drills, and safety meetings
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing workplace safety, environmental compliance, and overall EHS
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 0-1+ years of experience in Manufacturing Safety.
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED. Prefer Associate Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field.
- OSHA Certification preferred but not necessary.
- Environmental regulations experience preferred.
- Experience writing EHS reports to regulatory authorities.
- Excellent communication skills with individuals of varied backgrounds. Ability to present in front of large groups.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications Ability to work effectively within an EHS team and contribute to workplace safety.
