Job Description:
The Warehouse Supervisor will be based in Nashville, TN. In this position, you will report to the Warranty Parts & Services Manager. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for managing all warehouse/ receiving/ shipping activities at Nextracker Nashville.
Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…
- Manage the receiving and delivery of raw materials/finished products in a timely manner
- Utilize docks, warehouse layout, and route truck loading patterns that minimize loading time
- Ensure the optimal inventory levels of full goods are maintained in order to fulfill daily sales needs
- Provide timely service to sales department while minimizing warehouse and production costs
- Accountable for inventory accuracy, security, and monitoring with AXIS.
- Assist with the development of and implement operational procedures and ensure they are being followed.
- Monitor picking accuracy and provide feedback to management.
- Ensuring the safe maintenance and operation of equipment used in the warehouse
- Ensuring the safety of all workers in and visitors to the warehouse
- Motivating, supervising, and managing staff and contractors
- Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in merchandise
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
- Maintains inventory controls, counting of physical inventory. Keep track of inventory in/out. Transact the receipt in the system. Report the inventory monthly.
- Prepare parcels for mailing
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
- Wear the proper safety equipment
- Operate forklift
- Follow company’s security protocol
Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…
- The ideal candidate must have two (2) years Warehouse management /Inventory Control experience.
- Must be experienced in OSHA safety requirements in the warehouse environment
- Must have experience with providing root cause for inventory discrepancies.
- Must be able to work independently, with little to no supervision.
- Requires good organizational skills, follow-up, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed processes, instructions, correspondence and memos written in English.
- Ability to write basic safety and operational procedures and correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situation to other employees.
- Must be able to follow through on assigned task.
- Must be able to work flexible hours if needed.
- Must have strong Excel skills and overall Microsoft experience
- Ability to type, utilize telephones, computer applications such as word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database systems.
- Forklift Certification and valid driver’s license essential
- OSHA30 or equivalent safety training preferred
- Applicants should possess the physical fitness to carry out an active physical role including some moderate manual handling tasks.
