Job Description Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Vice President Controller & Principal Accounting Officer, the Vice President of Finance Transformation & Accounting Operations will serve as a key architect to optimize SOLV’s accounting operating model—driving enterprise-wide transformation across accounting systems and processes. The VP will support accounting operations while partnering cross-functionally with project controls, FP&A, procurement, and field operations to enhance financial visibility, improve project-level performance insights, and ensure compliance in a complex, project-based environment.Job Description:

Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Lead SOLV’s accounting transformation strategy, with a focus on scaling systems, processes, and data to support continued growth in EPC and infrastructure operations.
Drive optimization and expansion of ERP platforms, ensuring seamless integration across project accounting, procurement, and field operations.
Champion automation and digital tools to enhance revenue recognition, job costing, forecasting, and real-time project reporting.
Support accounting operations across a complex, project-based environment.
Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition (ASC 606) for long-term construction contracts, including variable consideration and change orders.
Partner closely with project controls and operations to align financial reporting with project performance, margin tracking, and risk assessment.
Drive continuous improvement in close cycle efficiency, forecast accuracy, and financial transparency.
Strengthen and scale SOLV’s internal control framework to support growth and evolving regulatory requirements.
Maintain a strong control environment across corporate and project-level activities.
Partner with Internal Audit and external auditors to support audits, resolve findings, and enhance control effectiveness.
Advise on policies and procedures across projects to ensure consistency, compliance, and auditability.
Lead change management initiatives to ensure adoption of new systems, processes, and ways of working.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and partnership with the business.
Lead finance integration efforts for new geographies, business lines, or acquisitions.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
15+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, ideally within construction, EPC, infrastructure, or project-based industries
Proven success leading finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations and process redesign in complex environments
Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 (percentage-of-completion / cost-to-cost revenue recognition)
Experience operating in high-growth, multi-project environments with large-scale contract accounting
Strong understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and regulatory compliance
Demonstrated ability to partner with operations and influence decision-making at the executive level
