Repsol's Crude team has an opening for a Trading Assistant, based out of our office in The Woodlands, Texas, following a hybrid work model with a compressed work schedule.

Repsol’s Trading business in the Americas is growing and we are looking for a talented, motivated, and committed professional to join our dynamic team. We currently have an opening for a Trading Assistant, who will work closely with the traders and operators in the Crude desk. The right candidate will be able to understand the trading dynamics, so that he/she can face the wide range of functions and responsibilities related to analysis, support and control.

Position Responsibilities:

Control

  • Ensure that positions are well understood and represented accurately in the trading systems for physical and paper trading. Risk exposure and P/L monitoring as well as proper interacting with the Middle Office Department and other business areas.

  • Runs daily PnL and Risks/Control reports and ensure that info reflected is as expected for every book. MtM, Forward curves and interaction with Middle Office.

  • Develop tools to further improve team efficiency as it pertains to understanding of exposure and P&L drivers, risk, market data aggregation and synthesis, etc.

  • Interacting with different departments and fixing operational incidences.

Digitalization

  • Collaborate with Digitalization initiatives within Repsol and promote this new culture.

  • Development of tools, based on data management, that provides market intelligence, efficiency and new approaches to the desk

Qualifications:

  • Authorized to work in the USA for any employer, without sponsorship.

  • BachelorΒ΄s degree in Finance or Business or equivalent.

  • Entry level to 5 plus years of experience preferred

  • Knowledge and understanding of trading processes and terminology.

  • Excellent PC skills, with the ability to extract raw data and utilize within spreadsheets and databases.

  • Excellent data management and analysis.

  • Capable of analyzing problems in a logical manner and recommending solutions.

  • A self-motivated, enthusiastic, high-energy individual with good communication skills.

  • Ability to work within a dynamic and diverse team in an international environment.

  • Proficient in English Language required. Spanish will be very valuable.

  • Professional experience in trading companies will be very valuable.
