Position Overview:
Our Training Specialist III, Development is responsible for the design and development of technical training content in support of classroom, virtual, online, and hands-on education for the Renewable Training Program team. The position reports to the Manager, Renewable Training - Development.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop technical training classes, labs and knowledge assessments related to operations, maintenance and troubleshooting at Wind, Solar and/or Battery Storage sites.
- Create, curate and maintain online content for ongoing new-hire and continuing education programs, just-in-time training and annual refreshers.
- Evaluate effectiveness and suggest adjustments to in-person classes delivered at the training center as a component of our blended learning approach.
- Design, develop and maintain a series of standardized exams in various formats (i.e., online multiple-choice, oral or written short answer and essay, case studies, lab exercises, etc.).
- Develop and deliver training for auxiliary roles such as exam proctors, on-the-job training mentors and task evaluators.
- Support tracking and storage of electronic qualification and completion records.
- Conduct periodic evaluations of training content to help ensure regulatory compliance and effectiveness at the course-level and program-level.
- Provide regular updates regarding changes and continuous improvement of curriculum.
- Support strategic company projects related to communication and training initiatives.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum three (3) years of operations or training experience in power generation, energy, or other closely related industry or field of work.
- Advanced research, technical writing and editing skills.
- Advanced group facilitation and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in at least one type of content management software (Asana, WordPress, Photoshop, Flash, or related tool.), learning management systems, training databases and/or SharePoint.
- Proficient in at least one type of course authoring tool such as Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate, LearnWorlds, Elucidat, iSpring Suite, Lectora or related tool.
- Ability to report for work at the Center of Excellence five (5) days per week.
- Ability to travel for work <10%.
- Valid driverβs license and acceptable driving record.
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
100,000.00 - 115,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 10% - 25%
The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
