We are currently seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join our team in Sorocaba, Sรฃo Paulo.

๐Ÿš€ Position Overview

As a Technical Sales Engineer, your mission is to enable our Sales team to close deals more effectively and efficiently by delivering high-quality technical guidance throughout the sales cycle. You will collaborate closely with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions, accurate configurations, and compelling proposals that showcase the value of Nextrackerโ€™s technology.

This role requires strong cross-functional coordination with teams including Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Applications, Supply Chain, and Project Operations. You will play a pivotal role in helping customers understand, adopt, and benefit from our tracker and software platforms.

๐Ÿง  What Youโ€™ll Need to Succeed

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Languages

  • Professional fluency in English and Portuguese is required.

  • Fluency in Spanish is highly desired as well.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Technical Experience

  • 2โ€“4 years in utility-scale solar, PV systems, or renewable energy.

  • Hands-on experience in field engineering, applications support, PV system design, or solar modeling.

  • Familiarity with solar trackers, PV and storage systems, inverters, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus).

  • Experience interpreting electrical schematics, layout plans, and technical drawings.

  • Proficient in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables) and CRM tools such as Salesforce and NetSuite.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Sales team by leading technical discussions with clients and stakeholders.

  • Review and respond to RFIs and RFPs with technical documentation and proposals.

  • Perform generation modeling and system optimization using solar design software.

  • Develop and refine quoting tools, customer-facing presentations, and product literature.

  • Collaborate with global teams to define product configurations, improvements, and future development needs.

  • Deliver technical training to internal teams and channel partners on new features, updates, and software releases.

  • Travel as needed to customer sites, partners, suppliers, and testing facilities across Brazil and LATAM.

  • Work cross-functionally to align engineering, procurement, logistics, and operations with customer requirements and commercial goals.
