Thanks for your interest in Oklo! We are searching for a talented Teamcenter Administrator to join our team.

Position Description

We are seeking a Teamcenter Administrator to maintain, configure, and optimize our PLM environment in support of engineering, manufacturing, IT, and quality teams. This role involves administering Teamcenter architectures (4-tier and Active Workspace), managing workflows and data models with BMIDE, supporting CAD and enterprise system integrations, and providing user support and training. The administrator will also troubleshoot issues, monitor performance, and apply automation practices to ensure reliable, efficient, and scalable PLM operations.

In addition, this role will support environment security and compliance requirements, coordinate closely with IT/DevOps to align hybrid cloud and AWS GovCloud infrastructure, and contribute to system performance tuning and scalability. The administrator will also help define and maintain cross-module workflows for revision control, document management, and change management, while creating training materials to support user adoption and onboarding.

Specific responsibilities may include

  • Administer and maintain Siemens Teamcenter (4-tier and Active Workspace).

  • Support installation, upgrades, patching, and performance monitoring.

  • Configure workflows, access controls, lifecycles, and business rules using BMIDE.

  • Manage Teamcenter modules such as Requirements, Document Management, and Change Management.

  • Oversee integrations with CAD tools (primarily Siemens NX) and manage PLM/CAD data flows.

  • Provide end-user support, training, and documentation.

  • Contribute to automation initiatives and process improvements.

  • Monitor system health, maintain backups, and ensure data integrity.

  • Implement and monitor role-based access controls, audit logging, and compliance safeguards for regulated environments (e.g., NQA-1, SOC 2, SOX, ITAR).

  • Work with IT/DevOps to manage Teamcenter environments in hybrid/on-prem and AWS GovCloud infrastructure.

  • Assist in performance tuning, load testing, and scaling to meet the needs of growing engineering datasets.

  • Support standardization of document management, revision control, and change workflows across modules.

  • Develop modular training guides and onboarding materials to improve adoption across engineering and non-engineering teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a CAD/PLM administrator with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.

  • Hands-on experience with Teamcenter installation, upgrades, patching, and configuration in enterprise environments.

  • Proficiency with BMIDE for configuring workflows, lifecycles, access controls, and business rules.

  • Experience supporting CAD integrations, preferably Siemens NX, and managing PLM/CAD data flows.

  • Knowledge of databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and application servers (WebLogic, Tomcat, or similar).

  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills, with proven ability to implement preventive solutions.

  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation and deliver effective end-user training.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering, IT, manufacturing, and quality teams.

  • Familiarity with security and compliance practices for enterprise or regulated environments.

  • Experience collaborating with IT or DevOps teams to support infrastructure, cloud environments, or automation of deployments.

  • Certification in AWS and/or Siemens NX/Teamcenter Administration is a plus.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Siemens Teamcenter Administration Certification.

  • Experience with distributed Teamcenter architectures, especially 4-tier Active Workspace.

  • Exposure to automation scripting, CI/CD workflows, or GitLab-based integrations.

  • Background in training development or structured onboarding for engineering tools.

  • Familiarity with Agile project workflows and cross-functional collaboration practices.

  • Hands-on familiarity with near-term Teamcenter modules we’re implementing at Oklo: Requirements, Document Management, and Change Management; bonus for exposure to BOM/release workflows and Active Workspace configuration.

Who you are:

A startup person: You aren't driven by titles or hierarchy, and prefer efficiency to excess process. You don't need or expect to have a lot of guidance but you enjoy working in a fast-paced team. If you prefer the culture and feel of a large organization, that is great, but you likely won’t enjoy working with us! There is plenty of important work and plenty of good opportunities with organizations like that.

Motivated: You are self-motivated. You bring an enthusiasm to the team, and imbue a sense of passion that goes beyond clocking in and clocking out. This isn’t about a fake or arbitrary “pieces of flair” mentality or lack of work-life balance! It is about being a part of the vision and feeling a part of reaching team goals.

A team-player: Oklo genuinely is a team. We aren’t about taking credit for ourselves, and we aren’t about pushing blame to others. We do incredible things because we work as a team.

An excellent communicator: We need a person who is not only technically competent but also a clear and upbeat communicator.

Creative: Being creative means that when things fall outside clear scopes or processes or problems arise without clear solutions, you are able to identify it as well as invent ways to solve a problem or fill a need without micromanagement. The successful person in this job will not only be creative, but also enjoy being creative and solving open-ended problems which may change day-by-day.

Detail-oriented: This focus is a big part of excellence, consistency, and quality. Excellent grammar and spelling matter for both good communication as well as the image of the company that we put forward.

About Oklo compensation:

The salary range is $100,000 – $155,000 base, depending on experience and qualifications. Oklo offers flexible time off, equity, competitive pay, 401k, health insurance, FSA, flexible work hours, and other benefits.
