Job Summary
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for driving end-to-end supply chain execution and supplier performance for all battery components, from concept and design through production and sustaining. This role ensures on-time quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) through strong supplier execution, recovery planning, lead time and capacity management, and proactive risk mitigation. The role owns supplier performance management, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement with key suppliers. The Supply Chain Manager serves as the primary supply chain lead and cross-functional integrator for battery systems, partnering closely with Procurement, Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing/NPI, Logistics, PMO, and Quality to align supply with program and production demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the battery supply chain value stream end to end, with execution ownership following advanced procurement or strategic sourcing handoff across all product lifecycle phases
- Supplier End-to-End Management: Own day-to-day supplier execution performance from PO release through delivery..
- Ensure on-time quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) targets are met across all battery components
- Manage supplier execution, including process understanding, lead times, capacity, and material on-hand dates
- Drive pull-in strategies with suppliers to accelerate critical material and support dynamic build schedules.
- Partner with supply chain planning to communicate clear-to-build status and material availability across cross-functional teams.
- Identify, manage, and escalate material, supplier, cost, and schedule risks with mitigation plans
- Develop and drive recovery actions for delayed or at-risk material to protect production schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance across delivery, lead time, capacity, and cost, with a focus on actionable insights and continuous improvement.
- Drive supplier improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, responsiveness, and scalability.
- After release, escalate supplier quality issues and ensure root-cause resolution and closure
- Quarterback all battery supply chain topics across Sourcing, Procurement, Planning, Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and Finance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Operations.
- 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing, or Operations supporting hardware product
- Experience owning end-to-end material readiness for complex systems
- Strong understanding of supplier manufacturing processes, lead times, cost drivers, and execution risk
- Experience working with BOMs, engineering releases, and cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, leveraging ERP/MRP systems and data visualization tools to inform decisions and manage complex supply chain problems
- Proven ability to manage ambiguity and drive issues to closure
- Ability to work in a fast paced and highly regulated environment
- Strong expertise in supplier execution management, recovery planning, and capacity/lead time analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with battery systems, EV, aerospace, or automotive hardware
- Exposure to NPI, production ramp, or sustaining operations
- Familiarity with supplier quality processes and change control

Actual compensation offered will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
