Join our team at Form Energy's factory to lead our testing operations, playing a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our breakthrough iron-air battery technology. You will manage and mentor a team of technicians and associates, driving excellence and creativity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As we continue to develop and scale our processes and systems, your ability to provide clear direction amidst ambiguity will be key. This is a chance to have a direct impact on our mission to reshape the global electric system with low-cost, multi-day energy storage.
This opportunity is based out of Form Factory 1 – Form Energy’s 550,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Weirton, WV, a commutable distance from Pittsburgh. Purpose-built for high-volume, advanced battery production, Form Factory 1 is a hub of fast-moving, collaborative work driving a new era of large-scale American energy manufacturing in the heart of the Rust Belt.

Supervise a team of 6-12 in the execution of daily testing activities, from the smallest cell scale up to full-scale battery systems.
Delegate resources and priorities to the team, ensuring efficient execution of end-of-line (EOL) testing and other quality procedures.
Scale up testing processes and infrastructure to match increasing production volumes at Form Factory 1.
Train and onboard technicians and associates on new equipment, test procedures, and safety protocols.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for testing equipment and processes, drawing on your knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or chemical systems.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes as systems and procedures are developed and refined.
Ensure all testing operations adhere to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Communicate operational status and results to cross-functional teams and management.
Applied experience or practical experience in an electrical, mechanical, or chemical process environment, such as lab testing or general factory fabrication.
Demonstrated experience in leading, mentoring, and training a team of technicians or operations associates.
The ability to thrive in an environment where processes and systems are still being developed
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to diverse audiences.
