As a Plant Floor Systems Supervisor, you will lead MES system support and project execution within your shop. You’ll manage a team of support engineers to ensure system uptime, resolve technical issues, and drive manufacturing digitization initiatives.
You Will
- Ensure MES system uptime across all shifts and coordinate support coverage.
- Lead support engineers, assign tasks, and drive issue resolution.
- Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams for system feedback.
- Manage spare parts inventory, backups, and 6S compliance.
- Evaluate change requests and conduct user acceptance testing.
- Support MES installation, validation, and remote support automation.
- Execute MES-related pråojects and coordinate hardware setup and testing.
- Analyze machine/process data and develop optimized digital solutions.
- Maintain project tracking and collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in MES systems and manufacturing support.
- 3+ years in plant operations and IT applications; 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with MES, ICS, IIoT, PLCs, SCADA, and OT protocols.
- Programming skills in SQL, Python, Java, C#, and Visual Basic.
- Familiarity with sensors, actuators, robots, AGVs, and manufacturing hardware.
- Understanding of manufacturing KPIs (OEE, uptime, throughput, etc.).
- Proficiency in documentation tools like Smartsheet, Visio, and MS Project.
