Job Summary
As an intern at AES, you will work alongside experienced professionals in your area of interest, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful projects. This internship is designed to provide valuable exposure to the energy industry, help you develop practical skills, and support your professional growth while making a positive impact in a collaborative and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with data systems research and analysis
- Supporting technical and program design, planning, and implementation, with an emphasis on data system integration
- Collecting and analyzing key data sets
- Assisting in the development and rollout of selected policies and business processes
- Providing operational support to the Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) field operations team
- Preparing spare parts lists for clean energy assets
- Organizing and maintaining Solar, BESS, and Wind project documentation in Box and Procore
- Developing standardized Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) templates within the ePAS program
- Supporting field operations team for the repower projects
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s degree program
- Strong interest in sustainability and renewable energy solutions
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with database relationships and data visualization tools preferred
- Strong motivation to learn and contribute to team success

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $21.00 and $30.18/per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes annual bonus. The benefits offered for this position are: medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, 401(k) eligibility, and paid time off (including vacation, sick leave time, and parental leave).
