Department Overview

Bloom Energy Engineering modeling team provides solutions in one of today’s most exciting technologies using latest cutting-edge tools in the areas of Computational fluid dynamics, Structural Analysis and ASPEN simulations and looking for a Structural Analysis Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Intern to join its world class team.

Position Responsibilities

  • Structural analysis
    • Assist in solving the mechanical design problems related to high temperature applications using the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools
    • Able to validate the simulations using hand calculations for sanity checks
  • Grid Generation, Model setup and solving:
    • Understanding of how-to setup and solve non-linear FE analysis problems using ABAQUS and Hypermesh tools

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with FEA & Mechanical Design background
  • Must be graduating between May 2026 and August 2027

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of fundamentals of the strength of materials
  • Exposure to FEA tools such as ABAQUS\HYPERMESH
  • Python programming and Scripting is advantageous
  • Very good communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in teams
  • Work experience in the process industry is a plus but is not required.

Bloom Energy is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The total compensation for this position is based on various factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience.

Salary Ranges:

$45.75 - $50.00
