The Job

As a Staff Salesforce Developer at Omnidian, you will play a critical role in architecting, scaling, and optimizing our Salesforce ecosystem to support a high-growth, customer-obsessed organization. You are an engineer at heart and strategic thinker who thrives on solving complex business challenges through scalable, well-integrated Salesforce solutions. You’ll partner across engineering, product, operations, and business teams to deliver impactful outcomes through technical leadership, architectural direction, and deep platform expertise. Your technical leadership will help guide the platform’s future—while your hands-on skills will help build it.

What You'll Do
  • At Omnidian we believe in trust and autonomy and we value ownership, execution, and technical depth. How you create an impact is ultimately up to you. Here is an outline of some of the things you’ll be doing:
Salesforce Platform Leadership
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex, scalable Salesforce solutions using native platform capabilities and system integrations.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, guiding developers and stakeholders through architectural decisions and solution trade-offs.
  • Drive the evolution of the Salesforce platform with custom metadata, platform events, and advanced automation (Flows, Orchestrator, etc.) and AI.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by evaluating new Salesforce features, third-party apps, and architectural patterns to drive platform innovation.
Salesforce Development & Architecture
  • Build and maintain robust applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and other Salesforce frameworks.
  • Serve as a technical SME, defining best practices, code standards, and scalable integration patterns across the platform.
  • Ensure high-performance, secure implementations aligned with Salesforce governor limits and multi-tenant architecture.
  • Maintain the technical quality of the codebase, including reviews, refactoring, and test coverage.
  • Contribute to CI/CD strategy and source-driven development using Copado and version control best practices.
Business Partnership & Automation
  • Partner with business teams to translate operational needs into technical solutions, balancing configuration and custom development.
  • Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve business processes using the full Salesforce platform.
Integration & Data Management
  • Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant integrations between Salesforce, third-party platforms like NetSuite and Amazon Connect, as well as internal first-party systems including Omnidian’s core platform.
  • Own the end-to-end integration strategy, collaborating with DevOps and Data Engineering for real-time and asynchronous data flows.
  • Ensure all solutions meet security, compliance, and data governance standards (GDPR, SOX, etc.).

Who You Are
  • You’re a deeply experienced, hands-on Salesforce technologist with expertise across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Apex, LWC, and complex integrations. You lead by example—writing clean, scalable code and designing reliable, high-performance solutions.
  • You know when to configure, when to code, and how to build for scale. You're comfortable working across the full development lifecycle—from translating business requirements to delivering production-ready features.
  • You are a technical leader who can zoom out to define end-to-end solutions while still diving into the details to get hands-on with implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • You thrive in collaborative environments, communicating clearly with technical and non-technical teams. You bring strong engineering discipline, a passion for solving problems, and a drive to continuously improve both the platform and the team.
  • You are passionate about mentorship and knowledge-sharing, helping elevate the technical bar across the team by guiding peers, reviewing code, and promoting learning.
  • You take full ownership of your work and see the Salesforce platform as a strategic engine for business growth.
  • You are someone who takes end-to-end ownership, from requirement analysis through to deployment and ongoing support—treating the platform as a product, not just a project.

Experience You’ll Need
  • 10+ years of direct, hands-on Salesforce development experience across Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, and CPQ.
  • Experience working in high-growth startups or similar fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in Apex, LWC, SOQL, Flow, and custom metadata types with a strong understanding of governor limits and platform quirks.
  • Demonstrated experience with building and managing integrations between Salesforce and external platforms via REST APIs, middleware, or platform-native tools.
  • Solid knowledge of Salesforce architecture, data model design, and performance tuning.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II certification.
  • Comfortable using Copado, Git, and CI/CD tools in a source-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to own technical features end-to-end, from design through implementation, testing, and support.

Experience That's a Plus
  • Experience with Field Service Lightning or deep CPQ customization.
  • Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, S3, SQS) or direct integration with Amazon Connect.
  • Prior experience in the solar or renewable energy sector.
  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect or Systems Architect.
