We are seeking a Senior Manager of Vehicle Quality to lead the end-to-end development, integration, and confirmation of the entire vehicle function and craftsmanship for Lucid manufacturing operations; Stamping, BIW, and General Assembly. This leader will drive design requirements for Manufacturing to deliver world-class fit, form and function, beginning at design through the industrialization phase.
The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of strategic leadership and practical experience. They will recruit, mentor, and lead a team of system engineers to become the industry leader in Manufacturing Excellence.
You will:
- Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing vehicle quality and systems team focused on fit / form / functional for the entire vehicle, from Stamping to General Assembly. Define strategy, set priorities, and develop organizational accountability.
- Technical Excellence: Provide technical leadership and innovated solutions for inspection and metrology systems for our assembly plants. Drive best practices in dimensional engineering, GD&T compliance, and gaging methods.
- DFM: Establish and drive requirements into the Design and Process, to ensure all vehicles assembled exceed competition and customers’ expectations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Design, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Procurement to ensure manufacturability, quality standards, and timing requirements are met.
- Launch Readiness: Ensure readiness of vehicle and metrology tooling -- including commissioning, launch and production control plans, and dimensional verification.
- Metrics & Governance: Define tooling and process quality KPIs, implement global best practices, and ensure alignment across Lucid’s assembly facilities.
You bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, STEM or related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience (Master’s a plus)
- 10+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing or manufacturing systems development (motor vehicle manufacturing experience preferred but not required)
- Minimum of 5 years in a management or leadership role, including experience with direct reports and cross-functional team leadership
- Proven history in DFM and driving quality enablers for Manufacturing
- Excellent communicator and influencer, with the ability to align technical and business stakeholders across geographies
- This role may require up to 25% of domestic and international travel to support technology deployment and collaboration across global sites
- Certifications (ASQ, Six Sigma Black Belt, etc.) preferred.
