Roles and Responsibilities:
· Lead a team that will design and deploy the next generation manufacturing tool set
· Identify and work with external Suppliers to build prototypes
· Analyze cost advantages for new machinery, ROI analysis
· Design machinery for high utilization, low maintenance and high safety
· Create tool strategy, timelines for implementing new machinery
· Manage industrial and automation engineering activities in support of fuel cell stack manufacturing.
· Lead and coordinate projects, initiatives and continuous improvement activities that drive equipment OEE, cost and safety.
· Provide inputs to strategic decisions that affect production planning, resources and budget.
· Lead activities with cross-functional teams in equipment design, build, upgrades and sustaining.
Education and Experience:
· BS, or MS degree in Engineering, computer science or equivalent
· Minimum 7 years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering management in supporting high volume manufacturing.
· Experienced in managing and mentoring engineering support and production teams in make decisions on key technical issues.
· Experienced in DFM, lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
· Organization skills in driving cross-functional team in new production introduction and factory performance matrix
· Competent in mechanical, pneumatics and electrical systems
· Superior communication skills, (written, verbal and active listening.)
· Highly motivated self-starter, capable of self-management with little to no oversight
· Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships; Ability to effectively participate on multi-disciplinary teams.
