Location:

This is primarily an on-site position which requires daily office attendance (4-5 days per week) in the Louisville, Kentucky office. We’re searching for someone with a preference for in-person collaboration and a knack for enabling others who are under tight deadlines within a complex global company. Some flexibility for hybrid work is available to support periodic personal appointments or project work on a case-by-case basis.

Description:

The Corporate IT department at Canadian Solar Inc. is responsible for the delivery of critical enterprise-wide IT systems and services. As a member of the IT Infrastructure team, the incumbent is responsible for managing day-to-day operations to ensure the ongoing availability, reliability, and security of Canadian Solar assets in a cost-effective manner.

Seeking an IT specialist to support Global IT Infrastructure for a Global company with a focus on major projects and systems management.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Infrastructure & Systems Management

  • Administer and support enterprise IT infrastructure including networking, servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and cloud-based services.

  • Design, deploy, and manage global WAN/LAN networks, VPNs, firewalls, switches, SD-WAN, and load balancers to ensure secure and optimized connectivity across international locations.

  • Manage hybrid cloud environments including Azure IaaS and PaaS, ensuring seamless integration with on-premises infrastructure and adherence to best practices in high availability and disaster recovery.

  • Monitor network performance and system availability; implement proactive maintenance and optimization strategies.

  • Ensure backup, failover, and disaster recovery systems are in place and routinely tested in alignment with business continuity requirements.

Project Management

  • Lead and coordinate IT infrastructure projects including cloud migrations, data center upgrades, network expansions, and system integrations.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business units, vendors, and stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables.

  • Apply formal project management methodologies and tools to track progress, manage change, and ensure successful project execution.

  • Provide regular project status updates and documentation to IT leadership and stakeholders.

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure security technologies are properly configured and monitored.

  • Support IT governance by enforcing security policies, risk management practices, access controls, and regulatory compliance.

Operational Support

  • Provide advanced support and troubleshooting for infrastructure-related issues and escalations.

  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, operational procedures, and disaster recovery protocols.

  • Ensure that all incidents and service requests are resolved in accordance with SLAs and that root causes are addressed through problem management processes.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Serve as a technical lead for infrastructure and security-related initiatives, mentoring junior staff and sharing knowledge across teams.

  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in infrastructure and cloud computing, assessing their potential impact and value to Canadian Solar Inc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure administration within global environments.

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure IaaS and architecture design

  • Experience with AWS and other cloud services is desirable.

  • Secure Service Edge, Firewalls, and VPN.

  • Working experience with different network vendors including Fortinet and Cisco.

  • Backup solutions and disaster recovery planning for on-premises and Cloud platforms.

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory (Entra) and related services.

  • Windows Server patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.

  • Advanced scripting or automation experience (ie. PowerShell).

  • Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Intune MDM, BitLocker, and Autopilot.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, especially in fast-paced, distributed operations.

  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and cybersecurity principles is a plus.

  • Strong documentation skills and ability to provide knowledge transfer to other IT team members.

  • Developing IT standards and ensuring compliance.

Other Requirements:

  • Mandarin Chinese language skill is highly desired.

  • Primarily onsite with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements based on project needs.

  • Occasional travel may be required to client locations or regional offices.

Compensation & Benefits

Canadian Solar offers a competitive salary plus fully comprehensive benefits and performance bonus package based on an annual objective achievement. Our generous benefits package includes a Retirement Plan, medical/dental/life/disability program, PTO and sick days.

The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $105,000. This range represents annual base salary only, without regard to location, and does not include bonus or other incentives or benefits that may apply. The pay range for this role is subject to change.
