Overview
The Specialist, Logistics Training Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing training programs and operational standards within the just-in-time (JIT) and Just-in-sequence (JIS) Logistics environment. This role ensures that all logistics personnel are properly trained in standard operating procedures (SOP), safety protocols, and continuous improvement initiatives. The coordinator also manages the Profi-Room, a dedicated space for process visualization, training, and performance tracking.
What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
Training & Development:
- Design and deliver onboarding and ongoing training programs for logistics team members (e.g, material handlers, line feeders, Team leaders)
- Maintain and update training material, SOPs, and visual aids in alignment with operational changes.
- Conduct skills assessments and maintain training records for compliance and audit readiness.
- Facilities cross-training to support workforce flexibility and coverage.
Profi-Room Management:
- Maintain the Profi-Room as a central hub for operational excellence, including 5’s standards, visual management boards, KPI’s. and process maps.
- Ensure all visual tools are current and aligned with production and logistics goals.
- Support daily start-of-shift meetings, performance reviews, and problem-solving session in the Profi-Room
Operational Support:
- Collaborate with supervisors and team leaders to identify training gaps and improvements opportunities.
- Support kaizen activities and continuous improvement workshops.
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action planning related to logistics errors or inefficiencies.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure training programs meet internal and external compliance standards (e.g, ISO, OSHA).
- Promote a culture of safety and quality through training and awareness initiatives.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina.
- This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Experience:
- Warehouse/Logistics Management: At least 4 years of experience in automotive manufacturing logistics, focusing on material handling, inventory management, or assembly in-house logistics line feeding in an automotive manufacturing industry.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead logistics teams in a fast-paced OEM environment.
- Inventory Control: Experience with inventory management, including tracking materials, managing stock levels, and ensuring accurate record-keeping of warehouse materials.
- Process Optimization: Experience with process improvement initiatives, particularly in logistics or warehousing, using methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma to enhance operational efficiency.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred. An equivalent amount of experience may be considered.
Certifications (Preferred): Certifications in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma, Lean) are a plus.
Skills:
- Leadership and Team Management: Ability to train, supervise, and motivate logistics personnel.
- Logistics Software: Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP), and other relevant logistics software for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Material Handling Equipment: Familiarity with the operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify inefficiencies, troubleshoot operational problems, and implement solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to coordinate effectively with team members, other departments, and external partners.
- Organizational Skills: Capable of managing logistics operations and warehouse space efficiently.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $95,000.00 - $120,000.00
