Job Description

X-energy LLC is hiring a Graphic Design Specialist to support its Corporate Communications team. This role will strategize and develop visual solutions that reinforce brand identity and support marketing, product, and communications goals.


Job Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Handles more complex projects, enforces brand consistency across channels, and contributes to design reviews; mentors peers on basics.

  • Create visually compelling digital and print designs, including but not limited to: Infographics, slide decks, brochures, digital signage, layouts, social media graphics, event collateral, iconography, and other necessary digital assets for internal and external channels. Apply accessible design principles to deliver designs that accommodate diverse audiences.

  • Delivers high-quality graphics under supervision; learns brand standards; supports production tasks; develops foundational tool fluency.

  • Advance brand identity visually through a strong adherence to brand guidelines, ensuring consistency of color, type, imagery, and tone across all materials and touchpoints.

  • Collaborate with both internal and external marketing and content teams to create strategic visual solutions. Stay updated on current market and design trends to identify new opportunities for growth.

  • Contribute to all phases of the design process, including ideation, development, iteration, and delivery, while also implementing feedback from key stakeholders.

  • Prepare final assets for development, print, or distribution, including but not limited to: Specifications, markup, and file optimization. Supervise production processes to ensure effective, timely delivery.

  • Assist with management and distribution of digital assets to internal and external partners through Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform.

  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typically, five years of experience in a relevant role required.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in graphic design, marketing, or communications.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a variety of brand, print, and digital design work; strong storytelling through visuals.

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign). Experience with Figma or other digital collaboration platforms a plus.

  • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, composition, and information hierarchy.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate design decisions, influence stakeholder, and participate in team-wide collaboration and feedback.

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage concurrent priorities and deadlines.

Location: 530 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD

Work Site Expectations: 4 days in office
Travel Expectations: Up to 10% as needed
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri

Compensation

As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.). Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions. Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives.

A reasonable estimate for this position at the level of experience required is:

$73,575 - $122,625
