Lyten Poland is currently recruiting a Sourcing Lead for its factory in Gdańsk (Stogi). The Sourcing Lead is responsible for identifying, evaluating, approving, and onboarding new suppliers to support the company’s growth and quality requirements. The role requires a strong technical background- preferably in mechanics - to effectively assess supplier capabilities, lead technical and commercial evaluations, perform supplier audits, and negotiate contracts.
This role ensures that new suppliers meet performance, quality, cost, and sustainability standards while strengthening the company’s supply base for long-term competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Identification & Onboarding
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for mechanical and technical components.
Lead the full onboarding process, including qualification, approval, and integration into internal systems.
Ensure suppliers meet technical specifications, quality standards, sustainability requirements, and compliance rules.
Develop and maintain a robust supplier pipeline aligned with business needs and product roadmap.
Supplier Auditing & Performance Assessment
Plan and execute supplier audits (quality, process capability, capacity, and compliance).
Assess suppliers’ manufacturing processes, materials, equipment, and operational maturity.
Identify improvement opportunities and drive corrective action plans when necessary.
Maintain supplier performance scorecards and regularly review KPIs.
Sourcing & Negotiations
Lead sourcing events, RFI/RFQ processes, supplier selection, and commercial evaluations.
Conduct contract and price negotiations to secure competitive terms and longterm stability.
Manage costreduction initiatives without compromising quality or lead time.
Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams on technical requirements and supplier capability alignment.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Purchasing to ensure sourcing decisions meet operational and technical needs.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by onboarding suppliers for new components and technologies.
Provide market insights, risk assessments, and sourcing recommendations to leadership.
Documentation & Governance
Maintain sourcing documentation, supplier audit reports, and contracts in line with internal procedures.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, ESG requirements, and industry standards.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or similar technical field (mechanical background preferred).
3–5+ years of experience in sourcing, supplier development, supplier auditing, or procurement in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Proven experience in conducting supplier audits (process, quality, capability).
Strong contract negotiation experience.
Skills & Competencies
Solid technical understanding of mechanical components, manufacturing processes, and engineering drawings.
Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, supplier qualification, and onboarding workflows.
Ability to evaluate supplier capabilities both technically and commercially.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with ERP systems and sourcing tools.
Analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and strong decisionmaking ability.
