Site EHS Manager

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Site EHS Manager to support the construction of Fleming Solar Farm. This role is responsible for leading and promoting a strong safety culture across all project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors while ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and company health, safety, and environmental requirements. The Site EHS Manager serves as the on-site safety leader, overseeing safety programs, risk assessments, incident investigations, training initiatives, and regulatory compliance throughout the construction lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with ACCIONA Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, the Site Safety Plan (SSP), Emergency Action Plan (EAP), Contractor Safety Policy, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
• Lead the implementation of project safety programs while fostering a proactive safety culture among ACCIONA employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Conduct project safety orientations, environmental and safety training, toolbox talks, daily safety meetings, and weekly safety committee meetings.
• Support pre-construction planning by reviewing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), participating in constructability reviews, identifying project risks, and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Perform routine site inspections, audits, safety observations, and risk assessments to verify compliance, identify hazards, and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action development for injuries, near misses, property damage, and environmental incidents to prevent recurrence and drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor safety performance metrics, identify trends, develop monthly safety campaigns, and prepare weekly and monthly safety reports to improve project safety performance.
• Oversee contractor safety documentation, qualifications, certifications, permits, and work practices to ensure compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
• Develop, maintain, and coordinate emergency response plans, emergency preparedness drills, and operational readiness activities.
• Serve as ACCIONA's primary safety liaison during regulatory inspections and compliance activities while maintaining accurate safety records and documentation within TDoc, Enablon, or other required systems.
• Partner with Engineering and Construction teams to support Safety in Design initiatives, project closeout activities, lessons learned, and continuous improvement efforts, while exercising Stop Work Authority when imminent safety hazards exist.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3-5 years of progressive safety experience in construction, industrial, energy, or renewable energy environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and construction safety best practices.
• High-voltage electrical safety experience required.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, risk assessments, safety audits, and corrective action management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Enablon or similar safety management systems preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and navigate active construction sites.
• Ability to travel and temporarily relocate to project site during construction.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Pay & Benefits:

• Base Pay: $105,000 to $125,000 (based on experience, education, and skillset).
• 10% Annual Performance Bonus (based on individual performance and company metrics).
• Eligible for company-provided per diem during project deployment periods and a company vehicle for authorized business transportation related to project activities.
• Day 1 Benefits: medical, dental, and vision insurance, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), HSA company contributions, and FSA options.

Working Conditions:

• Position is project-site based, with occasional rotation to office work, and requires temporary relocation for the duration of construction activities.
• Employees work on a rotational Rest & Recuperation (R&R) schedule designed to support work-life balance during project deployment, with schedules varying based on project needs and construction activities.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions, heavy equipment operations, uneven terrain, climbing structures, and working at elevated heights.
