About The Role


Solar Landscape is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Sales Strategy team within Business Development. This role will focus on shaping Solar Landscape’s go-to-market strategy by analyzing market opportunities, developing new rooftop solar offerings for our commercial real estate partners, and supporting initiatives that drive the company’s continued growth. 

In this role, you will work closely with Sales leadership and partner across Finance, Policy, Technology, and Operations to evaluate new markets, assess the financial viability of new products and partnerships, and identify opportunities to expand Solar Landscape’s platform. You will conduct financial and market analyses to inform strategic decisions around market entry, customer segmentation, and Solar Landscape’s go-to-market approach. 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining analytical rigor with strategic thinking and wants to help define how one of the country’s leading distributed solar developers grows its presence across commercial real estate markets.

Responsibilities
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Support the development of Solar Landscape’s go-to-market strategy across existing and new markets, including customer segmentation, partnership strategies, and approaches to expanding Solar Landscape’s commercial real estate platform. 

  • Financial Analysis & Business Case Development: Build financial models and evaluate the economics of new markets, products, and partnership structures to support strategic decision-making. 

  • Product & Offering Development: Help design and refine new offerings for Solar Landscape’s commercial real estate partners, working closely with Business Development, Finance, and Policy teams. 

  • Market Opportunity Translation: Work closely with the Policy teams to translate regulatory, market, and incentive insights into actionable business development strategies and commercial opportunities. 

  • Strategic Problem Solving: Own analytical workstreams focused on high-priority business questions, developing structured recommendations that inform Solar Landscape’s business development and growth strategy. 

  • Strategic Initiatives: Support high-priority initiatives related to market expansion, revenue growth, and business development strategy. 

  • Executive Insights & Communication: Develop analyses, presentations, and materials that support internal strategy discussions and executive decision-making. 


Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in consulting, renewable energy, climate tech, investment banking, or a similar strategic or analytical role. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex problems and translate insights into actionable business recommendations. 

  • Experience building financial models and evaluating the economics of new markets, products, or partnerships. 

  • Interest in renewable energy, distributed generation, and the commercial real estate ecosystem that supports solar development. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize analysis and communicate recommendations clearly to cross-functional stakeholders. 

  • Experience working across teams and coordinating initiatives that involve multiple stakeholders. 

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of workstreams, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools. 

  • Previous experience in renewable energy, climate tech, or infrastructure is a plus.

$80,000 - $90,000 a year
Salary will vary depending on your location and job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive-based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
