A Brief Summary of This Position:

Valmont is seeking a highly motivated, execution‑driven Senior Product Manager to drive AI and automation initiatives that transform core workflows across the enterprise. This role is designed for a strategic, technically fluent product manager who excels in fast‑paced environments, partners effectively across business units, and delivers measurable outcomes through AI‑enabled solutions. The Senior Product Manager will identify high‑value use cases, shape product strategy and roadmaps, and guide engineering teams to quickly deliver enterprise‑ready solutions that drive efficiency, accuracy, and data‑driven decision‑making across the business. This role is a key accelerator in Valmont’s digital transformation, converting strategy into scalable, secure, and adopted solutions.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead end‑to‑end discovery for AI and automation opportunities, including workflow analysis, problem framing, and value sizing.
  • Facilitate ideation with functional leaders to uncover friction points and identify scalable AI use cases.
  • Evaluate opportunities based on impact, feasibility, risk, and organizational readiness; maintain a portfolio‑level view aligned to strategy.
  • Translate business needs into product requirements, success metrics, and solution specifications.
  • Partner with engineers to design, prototype, and iterate AI agents, automation flows, and decision‑support tools.
  • Oversee implementation from design through testing, rollout, and support; manage cross‑functional dependencies and risks.
  • Define clear KPIs and ROI for each initiative; instrument solutions to measure performance and impact.
  • Drive adoption via change‑management, enablement, and communications; track usage and satisfaction.
  • Conduct post‑deployment reviews to validate impact and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Serve as a thought partner on AI and automation capabilities; educate stakeholders on emerging opportunities and limits.
  • Communicate scope, progress, and results to leadership through structured updates and presentations.
  • This role reports to the Director of AI Products & Automation.

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate:

  • 3–5 years of product management experience, ideally in data, digital transformation, internal tools, or AI/automation domains.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and launching technology solutions
  • Ability to decompose complex problems and translate them into actionable product requirements and success metrics.
  • Strong analytical skills; experience sizing value and evaluating ROI.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes in matrixed organizations.
  • Familiarity with AI concepts, automation platforms, or data‑driven decision frameworks.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and iterative delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science, with 8+ years' experience or Associates with 10+ years' experience or 11+ years of experience

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), Copilot for M365, and Teams integrations.
  • Understanding of AI agent frameworks, LLM behaviors, API‑driven orchestration, and/or RPA tools.
  • Background in business process improvement, consulting, or operational excellence.
  • Ability to prototype solutions or create mockups for stakeholder alignment.
  • Experience leading change‑management and enablement to drive adoption.
