We are looking for a Senior Manager of Global Security to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Senior Director – Worldwide Facilities and Real Estate and will be based in San Jose, California. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week.

The Senior Director – Worldwide Facilities and Real Estate will help develop and implement security, policies, procedures, and programs throughout all Bloom Energy locations. The role will be a key member of Bloom Energy’s Facilities and Real Estate leadership team and will collaborate closely with several disciplines, including Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, Supply Chain, and Legal.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Security operations globally
  • Develop and review global security standards, programs, and SOP’s.
  • Manage all security vendors against SLAs and KPIs.
  • Develop security awareness training programs.
  • Assess update and manage security systems for all new and existing locations globally.
  • Manage physical security requirements 24/7, including development and management of a global access program.
  • Partner with the Facilities and Real Estate team, Finance Operations, Information Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain, and HR to understand security requirements.
  • Select service providers and vendors who can support Bloom Energy’s goals with integrity and cost effectiveness.

Required Skill & Experience:

  • 8+ years experience in security management
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in a global corporate security role
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to collaborate with others
  • Ability to source and maintain vendors capable of supporting and servicing a high growth multi-national company.
  • Ability to simultaneously deliver results for a large number of complex projects and programs on very tight timetables.
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity and build a strong internal network.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • CPP, PSP or APP professional designation
  • Experience with site security assessments and surveys
  • Experience with access control systems
  • Familiarity with FTZ certifications
  • Experience in managing and delivering workplace violence programs in a corporate environment
  • Experience with physical security design specifications and standards

Salary Ranges:

$168,100.00 - $241,900.00
