Position Summary
The Senior IT Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving the Deriva Energy’s cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments. This role serves as a senior technical resource and team lead within IT Infrastructure, providing hands-on support across servers, identity platforms, data center systems, Citrix environments, backups, and related infrastructure services.
This position requires strong technical judgment, ownership, and the ability to support both day-to-day operations and longer-term infrastructure improvements. The Senior IT Infrastructure Analyst will work closely with IT leadership, cybersecurity, service desk, business stakeholders, vendors, and other technical teams to ensure infrastructure services remain stable, secure, recoverable, and aligned with business needs.
This position may be based out of multiple company locations depending on business needs. The employee must be flexible and willing to work from different sites as required. Deriva Energy Headquarters is located in Charlotte, NC.
Key Responsibilities
Support and administer on-premises and cloud-based server infrastructure, including Windows Server and Linux environments, virtual machines, and related infrastructure services
Maintain and support Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, authentication services, and identity-related infrastructure
Support data center operations, including server hardware, virtual infrastructure, storage, network-adjacent systems, rack/stack coordination, vendor engagement, and facility-related infrastructure needs
Administer and support Citrix environments, including application and desktop delivery platforms, access components, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring
Support infrastructure backup and recovery platforms, ensuring systems are protected, jobs are monitored, failures are addressed, and restore testing is performed as needed
Act as a technical lead for the IT Infrastructure team, helping coordinate work, guide troubleshooting, mentor team members, and ensure operational priorities are addressed
Participate in infrastructure project planning and execution, including upgrades, migrations, server deployments, lifecycle refreshes, cloud initiatives, and standardization efforts
Monitor infrastructure health, availability, capacity, performance, and security posture across assigned systems
Provide advanced troubleshooting for infrastructure incidents, outages, escalations, and recurring technical problems
Partner with cybersecurity teams to support secure configurations, patching, vulnerability remediation, privileged access, certificate management, and compliance-related activities
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system inventories, diagrams, standard operating procedures, recovery steps, and support runbooks
Support change management processes by preparing implementation plans, risk assessments, backout plans, and post-change validation steps
Assist with vendor management, support cases, licensing coordination, quotes, renewals, and technical evaluations
Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure reliability, automation, monitoring, documentation, and operational maturity
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
Three (3) years or more of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure environments in addition to bachelor’s degree
In lieu of a bachelor’s degree in a related field, an associate’s degree in data science, computer science, engineering, statistics, or a related field AND six (6) years of relevant work experience
In lieu of an associate’s degree in a related field, HS Diploma/GED AND eight (8) years of relevant work experience
Desired Qualifications
Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
Five (5) years or more of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure environments
Strong experience with Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity services
Experience supporting cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments, preferably Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365-connected services
Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar technologies
Experience supporting data center infrastructure, server hardware, storage, backup platforms, and infrastructure monitoring tools
Experience supporting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, StoreFront, Delivery Controllers, or related Citrix technologies
Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, identity, remote access, virtualization, and infrastructure services
Ability to lead technical efforts, coordinate team activities, and serve as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues
Strong understanding of backup, recovery, patching, change control, documentation, and operational support practices
Ability to communicate clearly with technical teams, business users, leadership, and vendors
Experience with Azure infrastructure services, Entra ID, Conditional Access, hybrid identity, and cloud administration
Experience with enterprise backup platforms and disaster recovery planning
Experience with PowerShell scripting or automation
Experience in regulated environments or environments with formal change management, audit, or compliance requirements
Familiarity with cybersecurity controls related to infrastructure, including privileged access, vulnerability management, certificate management, logging, and secure configuration standards
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, VMware VCP, Citrix CCA/CCP, CompTIA Server+, Network+, or Security+

Working Conditions
This role is intended to be located at the Deriva Energy Headquarters office in Charlotte, NC. or another strategic Deriva Energy location.
This is an in-person position with flexibility to work remotely once per week
