Job Description: Senior Integration Engineer
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves working closely with customers to onboard their data onto our web and mobile portals. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, including proficiency in Python, Bash scripting, SQL, and a good understanding of AWS cloud services. The candidate will be responsible for curating, parsing, and mapping customer data to our application schema and persisting it in the database for seamless application integration. The candidate will be an expert in technical troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with customers to understand and gather data requirements for onboarding.
· Curate and parse customer data from various formats (e.g., CSV, Excel, JSON, or databases).
· Map customer data to the application’s required schema accurately and efficiently.
· Develop and execute SQL queries and stored procedures to persist data into the database.
· Create and utilize Python and Bash scripts to automate data processing workflows.
· Ensure the integrity, quality, and security of customer data during onboarding.
· Work with AWS cloud services to facilitate data transfers and maintain infrastructure requirements for data onboarding.
· Act as a L2 support engineer and troubleshoot data-related issues and provide resolutions promptly.
· Document the onboarding process and maintain records of customer data mappings.
· Communicate progress and challenges effectively with the team and customers.
Qualifications:
· Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
· Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and scripting tasks.
o Experience with Bash scripting for task automation.
o Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with stored procedures.
o Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, RDS, Lambda, or similar cloud-based tools.
· Experience:
- 4+ to 6 relevant years of Exp.
o Hands-on experience in data onboarding, ETL processes, or similar roles.
o Proficient in working with large datasets and diverse file formats.
· Other Competencies:
o Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
o Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
o Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
o Adaptability to learn new tools and technologies as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Data Engineer having familiarity with data mapping tools or frameworks.
· Experience with cloud database technologies like AWS Redshift, Aurora, or DynamoDB.
· Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
