The Senior Finance Specialist is responsible for overseeing and developing the Accounting and Finance function for our new US factory located in the state of Indiana.

Position Summary:

The Senior Finance Specialist is responsible for overseeing and developing the Accounting and Finance function for our new US factory located in the state of Indiana. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements and manufacturing cost reporting and analysis.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Assist in managing the month-end close and financial reporting processes.
  • Participate in the year-end financial statement audit through effectively responding to specific requests and inquiries from the external audit team.
  • Establish and maintain the company’s account management procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and other departments to ensure financial data integrity.
  • Monitor financial integrity and compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies and regulations.
  • Estimate costs of operating plans and then develop budget and forecasts during the annual budget development cycle.
  • Train and mentor junior accounting staff to build a strong and capable team.
  • Participate in other strategic finance, account, and business projects if needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Progress toward Certified Public Accountant or similar certification preferred.
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP as well as risks and controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with demonstrated expertise in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP system is an asset.
  • Be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgment showing logical decision making, and a hands-on approach.
