Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop control software for utility-scale energy storage and grid applications.
• Develop FOS Controls and integrate battery and power conversion systems.
• Build, document, and maintain control logic using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow and C.
• Support sustaining engineering, field issue troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Ensure robustness, security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Track and report work using JIRA and Confluence.
• Collaborate effectively, encouraging open technical discussion and rapid issue resolution.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Strong expertise in MATLAB/Simulink for model-based systems engineering.
• Solid knowledge of power systems, power generation, or energy storage controls.
• Experience with closed-loop control algorithms.
• Proficiency in Agile development practices and Git workflows.
• Self-driven, accountable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally.

Preferred

• 6+ years of control software development experience.
• MS/M.Tech in Power Systems, Power Electronics, Control Systems, or Software Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in control software verification and validation.
• Simulink code generation and optimization expertise.
• Linux shell scripting experience.
• CI/CD integration and toolchain experience.
• Familiarity with industrial protocols: Modbus TCP, MQTT, DNP3, IEC 61850.
• HIL experience (Typhoon, OPAL-RT preferred).
