Job Description:

Role Overview

This role reports to the VP, Enterprise Applications and provides enterprise level leadership and accountability for Fluence’s Customer and Corporate application ecosystem. The Director owns outcomes across Revenue, Financial Close, Workforce Lifecycle, and Customer Operations and serves as the single executive owner for the end to end digital enablement of these value streams. The role directly influences company performance, scalability, and risk posture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own platforms supporting core revenue generation, financial close, workforce operations, and customer delivery across the enterprise.
  • Be accountable for technology outcomes impacting multiple global business units and regions.
  • Oversee systems representing material operational, financial, and compliance risk to the company.
  • Ensure system controls, data integrity, and audit readiness across Customer and Corporate platforms in partnership with Security, Compliance, and Finance.
  • Represent IT in enterprise governance forums influencing funding, sequencing, and prioritization of company wide initiatives.
  • Serve as executive decision authority for Customer and Corporate technology investments, balancing enterprise priorities, risk, and return across Finance, Sales, HR, and Operations.
  • Partner with business leaders to drive user adoption and organizational readiness for new system deployments.
  • Develop executive level roadmaps and dashboards that communicate portfolio health and strategic impact.

Integrated Delivery

  • Oversee end to end Lead to Cash, Record to Report, and Hire to Retire process flows.
  • Ensure seamless integration between front office systems such as Salesforce and back office systems such as SAP and Workday.
  • Define and enforce IT service level standards for system performance, support resolution, and processing accuracy.
  • Own data governance frameworks for customer, finance, and employee master data to ensure a single source of truth.

Team Leadership

  • Lead a multi layered organization of managers, architects, business analysts, and system experts.
  • Build succession pipelines for Director and Senior Manager level roles.
  • Manage a blended delivery model of internal employees, offshore resources, and third party partners.
  • Own investment tradeoffs and long range financial planning for Customer and Corporate platforms.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with strategic partners such as Salesforce and SAP.
  • Strategic Roadmaps and Application Strategy
  • Define application lifecycle strategies that balance innovation with reduction of legacy technical debt.
  • Translate business objectives into multi year technical roadmaps and investment plans.
  • Monitor market trends and emerging SaaS capabilities to maintain a competitive enterprise technology stack.
  • Evaluate and rationalize redundant applications to simplify the Customer and Corporate technology landscape.

Innovation

  • Identify opportunities for automation and AI driven insights across Customer and Corporate platforms.
  • Define and govern enterprise automation and AI roadmaps with clear controls and measurable business impact.
  • Apply analytics to identify bottlenecks in Lead to Cash and other value streams.
  • Drive self service capabilities within Workday and customer platforms to reduce manual effort.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Twelve or more years of experience in Enterprise Applications, including at least five years in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and ability to partner effectively with business executives.
  • Deep experience managing complex enterprise ecosystems combining SaaS and ERP platforms.
  • Proven leadership with Salesforce, SAP, and Workday. SAP Finance experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • MBA preferred.
