What youโll do:
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Security Engineer with 10+ years of expertise in SAP Security. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge in SAP S/4HANA 2021 or higher and SAP GRC, with a proven ability to design, develop, and maintain complex security roles in large enterprise environments. This role requires expertise in supporting SOX compliance, configuring and managing GRC workflows, and collaborating effectively within a global, virtualized team.
Key Responsibilities
- SAP Security Design & Administration
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain SAP security roles and authorization concepts across SAP S/4HANA (2021 or higher).
- Ensure role design follows best practices while balancing functionality, risk mitigation, and audit requirements.
- Perform security reviews, remediation, and ongoing maintenance to support evolving business needs.
- Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
- Configure, maintain, and optimize SAP GRC Access Control workflows, including Emergency Access Management (EAM) and User Access Review (UAR).
- Maintain and update the GRC ruleset, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and SOX controls.
- Partner with audit and compliance teams to manage SAP Controls for SOX audit readiness, access certification, and segregation of duties (SoD) monitoring.
- Collaboration & Support
- Provide subject matter expertise to business and IT teams on SAP security and compliance best practices.
- Collaborate with global, virtual teams across time zones to deliver consistent, high-quality solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve security issues, perform risk assessments, and recommend improvements.
What you need:
- Bachelorโs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Masterโs preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in SAP Security, including hands-on role design, authorization management, and troubleshooting.
- Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA 2021 or higher.
- Proven expertise with SAP GRC Access Control, including:
- Ruleset configuration and maintenance.
- Workflow configuration for EAM and UAR.
- SoD and compliance reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of SOX audit controls and SAP security compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience working in a global, virtual team environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Companyโs business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $134,000 - $185,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
