Job Description
Summary of Position
The Research Engineer I supports R&D initiatives by conducting hands-on experiments, collecting and
analyzing data, and assisting in process improvements. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with a strong technical foundation who are eager to develop their expertise in PV module manufacturing and testing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct experiments as directed and execute experiments with minor oversight.
• Collect and process data, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
• Utilize Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Operate and maintain lab and factory equipment.
• Support process improvement initiatives within R&D.
• Assist with projects, taking ownership of specific tasks and potentially leading 1-2 minor projects.
• Collaborate with team members under supervision to execute R&D initiatives.
• Learn from senior engineers while mentoring engineering interns.
• Implement existing R&D processes and document work through reports and technical notes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; additional software knowledge is a plus.

Education and/or Experience
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics.
• Hands-on experience in an R&D or manufacturing environment (internship or academic projects
acceptable).
Preferred:
• Familiarity with PV module manufacturing or materials science.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for laboratory or production equipment.
