We´re looking for a Project Manager to join our team:

Under general supervision, directs large project work plans and work prioritization for the best value. This will include monitoring current work plan status and costs to budget work plan. This position will develop and administer project control methods to standardize schedule and cost tracking processes and tools. Reviews project risks and helps mitigate and minimize these risks. Participates in cross functional larger project reviews.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Directs large project work plans (up to and occasionally exceeding $500K) and work prioritization for the best value.

  • Provides input to other employees and departments during project implementation.

  • Monitors current work plan status and costs to budget work plan.

    • Acquires additional approvals when needed

    • Monitors costs and materials to project budget

    • Preconstruction meetings and bid processes

    • State and local permits, locates, notification of other entities as applicable

    • Ensure preliminary work from other departments is coordinated and complete

    • Schedule work internally or externally and monitor crew performance

    • Work with field operations team to achieve financial targets through cost management initiatives.

  • Develops and administers project control methods to standardize schedule and cost tracking processes and tools

  • Meets customer’s and PUCO metrics on meter sets and project completion

  • Ensures materials are accurately charged

  • Ensures invoices are accurate and paid accordingly

  • Reviews project risks and helps mitigate and minimize these risks.

    • Closes projects on time and within budget

    • Meets Sarbanes-Oxley requirements on a quarterly basis.

    • Complete internal audits as assigned for both business and safety

  • Participates in cross functional larger project reviews. Works with other departments on projects requiring coordination of teams

  • Acts in best interest of Company while keeping customer needs in mind.

  • Works storm restoration and major events impacting the Company as needed. Serves as duty supervisor or storm team member as applicable

  • Supervises union employees.

    • Administer schedules

    • Provide performance and constructive feedback

    • Participate in review of any critical instances to prevent reoccurrence

    • Actively patriciates in 30-day meeting with Local 175/consultation with union

  • Assist in the management of training for workforce – both safety and craft

  • Participates in and actively involved in the Safety Performance of the entire workgroup. Including Safety Walks, job site inspections, safety meetings, internal audits, etc.

  • Assumes other duties as needed to support the regional facilities, inspections, audits, and mitigate any findings to remain in compliance. Responsible for fleet and building operation.

  • Serves as a consultant to management.

Qualifications:

  • 4 year college degree Preferred (or equivalent)

  • Must be proficient with Computers
