AVEVA Engineering - E&I Deployment at Bruce Power

Location: Hybrid (1-3 days per week on-site at Bruce Power – varies depending on project needs)

For decades, Bruce Power’s Online Wiring system has been the backbone of how we manage engineering changes, wiring data, and system connectivity. Now, it’s time for a transformation - and you’ll be at the centre of it by supporting the deployment of AVEVA Electrical & Instrumentation.

In this role, you’ll lead the technical coordination and implementation of a modern, integrated suite of tools to replace a legacy platform used since the 1970s. You’ll work closely with engineering, IT, operations, and vendors to make sure the new system is more than just functional - it’s optimized for how our teams work.

From problem-solving technical constraints to planning a seamless data migration, your work will directly impact efficiency, safety, and productivity across the organization. If you’re ready to take ownership of a complex, high-visibility project that will define future workflows for years to come, this is your opportunity.

Salary Range: $110k-130k (Exact compensation varies).

Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead stakeholder coordination: Act as the primary liaison between software vendors, engineering teams, project management, construction, drafting, maintenance, and operations to ensure project goals and requirements are fully understood and met.
  • Drive software implementation: Includes defining requirements; participating in and leading user acceptance testing alongside the software vendor; and supporting Bruce Power IT Deployment.
  • Support data integrity and quality during migration: Develop and manage the process for transferring existing wiring data to the new tools, including handling read-only transition phases and minimizing disruption to active projects.
  • Optimize project schedules: Monitor timelines, identify delays, and adjust milestones in response to software readiness, ensuring the project remains aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Support tool enhancement and integration: Collaborate with vendors to resolve technical limitations, such as catalog capacity and performance, and explore opportunities for integration with other AVEVA tools (e.g., AVEVA E3D for cable tray modelling).
  • Develop training and resources: Create clear, accessible computer-based training (CBT) modules and user guides to support smooth adoption of the new tools.
  • Guide decision-making: Prepare memos, presentations, and strategy documents (e.g. Key Decision Forms) to support Leadership in critical decision making

These Will Help You Succeed

  • 3-7 years of project engineering or design engineering experience.
  • Experience managing multi-stakeholder technical projects from concept to completion.
  • Understanding of engineering change processes, electrical/instrumentation systems, or design engineering software (e.g., AVEVA Engineering, AVEVA E3D).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven organizational skills to coordinate complex timelines and workstreams.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate constraints and find workable solutions.
  • Experience developing training materials and guiding software adoption.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support decisions.

Bonus Points

  • OE/ADE Qualification at Bruce Power.
  • Experience with AVEVA toolset (AVEVA Engineering) or similar engineering tools.
  • Experience with Online Wiring (OLW) systems.
  • Familiarity with transitioning legacy engineering tools into modern integrated systems.
