Preconstruction Manager – Moss & Associates, LLC – 6363 NW 6th Way, Suite 200, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Play a key role in preconstruction phase by gathering and analyzing data to produce accurate project estimates.

  • Be responsible for planning, organizing, and distributing material takeoffs, subcontractor coordination, and trade scope management during bids.

  • Collaborate with trade contractors and vendors. Generate, calculate, and estimate construction costs for assigned projects.

  • Perform accurate quantity surveys of materials from construction plans. Assemble detailed estimates from quantity surveys.

  • Distribute design documents to trade contractors.

  • Maintain strong business relationships with trade contractors and vendors.

  • Recommend cost-saving opportunities and evaluate trade scopes.

  • Apply basic constructability knowledge to improve project feasibility.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field required.

  • Five years of estimating experience with a general contractor required, including any experience with: preconstruction processes and best practices; reading, interpreting, and analyzing construction plans and specifications; performing accurate quantity takeoffs; cost estimation and quantity calculations; and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Must have legal authority to work in the U.S. EEOE.
