Thanks for your interest in Oklo!  We are searching for a People Operations Coordinator to join our team. 

Position Description

The People Operations Coordinator helps bring Oklo’s culture, workplace experience, and team operations to life. This role supports the daily rhythm of the company, coordinating logistics, maintaining people-facing systems and processes, and ensuring that Okloers feel supported, connected, and informed. The ideal candidate is highly organized, approachable, and proactive— an enthusiastic educator at heart and someone who gets energy from supporting others and bringing structure to dynamic environments. They combine administrative precision with warmth and passion for building a great workplace culture from day one. 

This is a hybrid role located in Santa Clara, CA.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Coordinate employee lifecycle logistics related to hiring, onboarding, welcome communications, and training scheduling/tracking
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding documentation, access setup coordination, and routine checklist tracking
  • Provide basic support for benefit communications (not administration) and direct employees to the right resources
  • Help maintain accurate employee records, templates, and shared HR documents in our HRIS (Workday)
  • Support internal communications and maintain the People Ops sections of shared drives or tools
  • Help plan and execute company-wide events, celebrations, and team-building activities (both in-person and virtual)
  • Strategize on additional employee engagement initiatives to strengthen belonging, connection, and visibility across teams
  • Partner with the Office Manager and Operations team on facilities and workspace experience
  • Support rollouts of company values initiatives, recognition programs, and culture campaigns.
  • Help collect and organize employee feedback and data for the People team.
  • Assist with vendor management, contract negotiations, and purchase orders for people- and culture-related initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience in a coordination, administrative, people operations, or workplace experience role
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Proactive, adaptable, and energized by supporting others in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Workday highly preferred

About Oklo travel requirements:

Oklo requires remote employees to travel to headquarters (Santa Clara, CA) twice a quarter annually, based on business or team needs, including attendance at team meetings, off-sites, and other company events or gatherings.

 

About Oklo compensation:

Salary: $85,000-$115,000

Oklo offers flexible time off, equity, competitive pay, 401k, health insurance, FSA, flexible work hours, and other benefits.

About Oklo Inc.: Oklo Inc. is developing fast fission power plants to deliver clean, reliable, and affordable energy at scale; establishing a domestic supply chain for critical radioisotopes; and advancing nuclear fuel recycling to convert nuclear waste into clean energy.
