Job Description

We’re looking for a talented individual…

To join our team as a Multifamily Energy Auditor to support energy efficiency programs by conducting audits, managing projects, and building strong partnerships with property managers, contractors, and multifamily building owners. In this role, you will perform diagnostic testing, evaluate building systems, and provide technical guidance to ensure successful program participation. You’ll also act as the local program representative, maintaining and developing accounts, promoting utility rebate programs, and ensuring safe and effective project delivery.

The ideal candidate will bring 2–4 years of experience in energy efficiency, HVAC, electrical, or building inspections, along with post-secondary education in a related field. Strong communication skills, technical expertise, and the ability to lead stakeholders are essential. This position requires comfort working in varied building environments, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a valid driver’s license. Travel within an assigned territory, including up to 15% overnight, will be required.

You’re a great fit if you can…

  • Build and maintain relationships with trades, property managers, and multifamily owners to secure participation in utility rebate programs

  • Perform energy audits using diagnostic tools (blower doors, combustion analyzers, etc.) and apply knowledge of building construction and HVAC systems

  • Conduct inspections in various building areas, including tight spaces such as attics

  • Manage projects by coordinating stakeholders, delegating tasks, leading kickoff meetings, and ensuring safe practices on-site

  • Maintain existing accounts, develop new ones, and serve as the local program representative to customers and contractors

  • Promote program participation, design tailored proposals, and troubleshoot technical issues with installations or configurations

  • Provide technical advice, training, and guidance to customers and contractors

  • Document interactions, provide updates to program staff, and ensure compliance with program requirements

  • Travel within an assigned territory to support program delivery

Exciting candidates will have…

  • 2–4 years of experience in energy efficiency, HVAC, electrical, or building inspections

  • Post-secondary education in Building Science, HVAC, Electrical, or a related field

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide technical guidance

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods as required

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (company vehicle provided)

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

  • Willingness to travel overnight up to 15% of the time
