The role:
• Develop mechanical prototype components of EV powertrain and support design specifications.
• Design fixtures, tooling, and packages for assembly, testing and shipment of prototype components.
• Collaborate with local suppliers to clarify technical requirements, optimize manufacturing processes, and ensure one-time deliveries.
• Monitor prototype quality using inspection tools.
• Proactively participate in build reviews, root cause analyses, and DFM/DFA discussions.
• Maintain BOM and test reports; follow technical documents; create PRs and oversee shipping.

Requirements:
• Experience with DFM, DFA, and prototyping techniques.
• Understanding of material properties, including metals and plastics.
• Familiar with prototype fabricating processes: Lathing, Milling, CNC, WEDM, heat treatment, surface finishing.
• Proficient in GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Proficiency in Catia or 3D CAD, or equivalent tools.
• Fluent in Mandarin and working level proficiency in English.

Preferred:
• 6+ years experience in mechanical design & manufacturing role.
• Knowledge of EV powertrain component functionality and manufacturing, e.g., rotor/stator stacks, gearbox, drive shaft.
