Department Overview

The Structured Finance team originates and closes financing for Bloom’s projects. Working cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, and Engineering, the team delivers bankable and scalable solutions. To date, Structured Finance has raised over $6 billion in project capital in support of the company mission to deliver clean, reliable energy.

Position Responsibilities

  • Support Bloom's consultative-based selling engagements with customers and financiers, particularly with respect to financial analysis, research and analytics
  • Lead financial modeling for asset and portfolio transactions; size debt/equity and quantify risk/return under multiple scenarios.
  • Develop creative ways to meet customer financial and contracting constraints within the parameters of a financeable deal structure
  • Coordinate internal diligence (technical, commercial, regulatory) and manage data-rooms and Q&A with external parties.
  • Support partnership frameworks and post‑close obligations with financiers
  • Add "intellectual athlete" capacity to a team that work on deals impacting many parts of Bloom's business

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently a student earning an MBA candidate targeting graduation by spring 2027
  • At least 2 years pre‑MBA work experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in investment banking, private credit/equity, infrastructure/project finance, or corporate development/strategy strongly preferred
  • Background in financial modeling; ability to build from first principles and audit others’ models.
  • Must demonstrate strong personal ethics, the ability to influence and negotiate, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
  • A background of exceptional academic performance
  • High attention to detail.
  • Fun to work with, quick to laugh, willingness to take calculated risks, and a creative problem solver with a "can-do / failure is not an option" approach to work.

Salary Statement with pay range
Bloom Energy is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The total compensation for this position is based on various factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience.

Salary Ranges:

$54.50 - $61.00
